Introduction to Devi Maa Mantra
The following mantra describes the various qualities of Devi Ma
We have taken 4 of them here. You can add other forms like shradha, shanti, trishna,chaya, vishnu mayeti, kanti,nidra ... in place of ma, shakti...  and say the mantra
Ya Devi Sarva Bhutesu Maa rupena samsthita I

Meaning of  Devi Mantra 
To the Divine Goddess who resides in all existence in the form of universal mother
To the Divine Goddess who resides in all existence in the form of energy
To the Divine Goddess who resides in all existence in the form of intellegence
To the Divine Goddess who resides in all existence in the form of true wealth
We bow to her, we bow to her, continually we bow to her

There are various Mantras which are recited to revere the 'Mother' or 'Ma' as every devout Hindu calls Her.
<span>Below I present some:</span>
<span>1) Asato Ma sadgamaya    Tamaso Ma Jyotirgamaya    Mrityur Ma Amritam gamaya</span>
<span>Which means:  From untruth, lead me to the Truth,  From Darkness, Lead me towards the Light,  From Death, Lead me to Life Eternal.</span>
<span>Ma does not mean 'mother'..its an 'avyaya' used for negation (write Mayank)</span>
<span>2) Sharanaagata dinaarta    Paritraana paraayane    Sarvasyaarti harey Devi    Naraayani namostute</span>
<span>Which means:  Salutations be to you, O Mother  You who are intent on saving the downtrodden  and distressed that come under your refuge.  Oh Devi! you remove the suffering of everyone</span>
<span>The following Mantra of Ma, is one of my favourites as it can be said anytime of the day, and anytime during your life, to pray for benediction for yourself and all your loved ones.</span>
<span>3) Om Sarva mangala Maangalye    Shivey Sarvaartha Saadhikey    Sharanye Trayambikey Gauri    Naraayani Namostutey</span>
<span>Which means:Oh Gauri Ma!, consort of Lord Shiva,You, who bestow auspiciousness on all,And fulfill everyone's' wishes,I prostrate myself before Thee,Take me under your care.</span>
<span>The following Mantras describe the various qualities of Ma:I have picked up 3 and I generally like to say them during Navratra as they are rather simple to remember and recite:</span>
<span>4) Ya Devi Sarvabhuteshu    Shakti Rupena Sanshtita    Namastasyai Namastasyai Namastasyai    Namo Namaha</span>

Which means:Prostrations unto Thee, O Devi (Ma)who dwells in all beings in the form of Shakti (Energy)
5)Ya Devi Sarvabhuteshu    Budhi Rupena Sansthita    Namastasyai Namastasyai Namastsyai    Namo Namaha

Which means:Prostrations unto Thee O Devi (Ma)who resides in all beings as Intelligence (Wisdom)
6)Ya Devi Sarva bhuteshu    Laxmi Rupena Sansthita    Namastasyai Namastasyai Namastasyai    Namo Namaha
Which means:Prostrations unto Thee O Devi (Ma)who resides in all beings in the form of Laxmi (abundance
7) Gauri Mantra for:
Acheiving child, son, spouse, prosperity

The Mantra describes the smiling countenance of Gauri Mata
and requests the fulfillment of desire.
A mala (rosary) of 108 beeds is recommended to be chanted.

The following mantra protects against violence and helps improve life in general.It is the first stanza of the Argala Stotra  Jayanti Mangalaa Kaali Bhadrakaali KapaaliniDurgaa Shamaa Shivaa Dhatri Swahaa Swadhaa namostute

<span><span>(You who are perpetually endeavouring to protect the weak and the poor and remove their misery. Oh Narayani, I pray to you)</span></span>
सर्वस्वरूपे सर्वेशे सर्वेशक्तिसमन्विते । भयेभ्यस्त्राहि नो देवि दुर्गे देवि नमोऽस्तु ते ।।
SARVASVAROOPEY SARVESHEY SARVSHAKTI SAMANVIETEY, BHAYEBHYAH TRAAHI NO DEVI DURGE DEVI NAMOSTUTEY.”
Oh Goddess Durga, please protect us from all kinds of fear. Oh omnipotent Durga I pray to you)रोगनशेषानपहंसि तुष्टा। रुष्टा तु कामान् सकलानभीष्टान्।।
त्वामाश्रितानां न विपन्नराणां। त्वमाश्रिता हृयश्रयतां प्रयान्ति।।
ROGAAN SHOSHAAN PAHANSITUSHTARUSHTATU KAAMAAN SAKLAAN BHISHTAAN, TVAAM AASHRITAANAAM NA VIPANNARAANAM. TVAAMAASHRITAAHYA SHRAYTAAM PRAYAANTI.”
Oh Goddess, when you are pleased you remove all ailments and when you are angry you destory everything that a person desires for. However, Those, who come to you for sanctuary never have to confront any casastrophy. Instead, such people secure enough merit to provide shelter to others)
सर्वाबाधा प्रशमनं त्रैलोक्यस्याखिलेश्वरि। एवमेव त्वया कार्यमस्मद्दैरिविनाशनम्।।
सर्वाबाधा विर्निर्मुक्तो धनधान्यसुतान्वित:। मनुष्यो मत्प्रसादेन भविष्यति न संशय:।।
SARVA BADHA PRASHMANAN TRAILOKYA SYAKHILESHWARI, EVAMEVMEV TVAYAA KAARYAM SMA DVERI VINAASHNAM.
SARVAA BAADHA VINIRUMK TO DHAN DHAANYA SUTAAN VITAH. MANUSHYO MAT PRASAADEN BHAVISHYATI NA SANSHA YAH.”
Whoever listens to the story of the Goddess during the great Puja that is organised in the winters succeeds in overcoming all obstacles and is blessed wealth and progeny)
जयन्ती मङ्गला काली भद्रकाली कपालिनी । दुर्गा शिवा क्षमा धात्री स्वाहा स्वधा नमोऽस्तु ते ।।
“JYANTI MANGALAA KAALI BHADRA KAALI KAPAALINEE DURGAA KSHAMAA SHIVAA DHAATREE SWAAHAA SVADHAA NAMO STUTEY.”
Oh Goddess, you who are known by the names of Mangala, kali, Bhdra kali, Kapalinee, durge, Kshama, Shivaa, Dhatri, Swahaa, Swadha, I pray to you)
देहि सौभाग्यमारोग्यं देहि देवि परं सुखम् ।
रूपं देहि जयं देहि यशो देहि द्विषो जहि ॥
"DEHI SAUBHAAGYAM AAROGYAM DEHI DEVI PARAM SUKHAM.
RUPAM DEHI JAYAM DEHI YASHO DEHI DVISHO JAHI
(Oh Goddess, bless me with good fortune, good health, good looks, success and fame. Oh Vaishnavi, you are the very basis for the world. You have mesmerised the World. When you are pleased with some one you ensure his salvation from the cycle of life and death)
