Badi Diwali

Worshiping at home and workplace
On the evening of Diwali, brought Lakshmi-Ganesha's picture or statues. Images of Lord Ganesha and Goddess Laksmi can also be painted on the inside wall of the home for worshiping. Besides worshiping, the Lakshmi-Ganesha, other Gods must be worshiped as well.
First worship at temples and then at workplace and home
At Temple: Collect the following things together:- water, roli (red powder), rice, kheel (popped paddy,) batashe (sugar cakes), abeer-gulaal (colored powder), flowers, coconut, sweets, perfume and dhoop (incense sticks) etc. Other than Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Ganesha, Lord Dhanpati, Lord Indradev, Lord Vishnu and Goddess Saraswati should be worshiped.

At workplace: Worship the statue of Lakshmi-Ganesha, businessman must worship their ledgers and work places with full of devotion. Consult the priests before worshiping ledgers and workplaces and can also done with the help by the priests.
At home: Brought different kind of feasts and sweets or prepare at home, these sweets and feasts should be offered to the Gods and Goddesses while worshiping. Also, take out little portion of all the home made foods and serve this food to a Brahmin.Famous Stories about Badi Diwali
1. It is said that on this day Lord declared King Bali alike Indra of underworld, so Indra celebrated Diwali by thanking Lord for saving his throne of Indralok.

2. It is also said that on the same day Goddess Lakshmi came into the existence with the Kalash of Nectar at the time of Samudra Manthan (Churrning the Sea).
3. On this day King Vikramaditya composed his new Era; he called up the great scholars and priests to find out the Mahurat and they found the best mahurat to start new Era on Chaitra Sudi's pratipada.
4. On the same day founder of Arya Samaj Maharshi Dayanand received the Nirwaana.
5. Most popular story: Shri Ramchandra came back from Lanka after fourteen years of Vanvaasa (exile) and his coronation was done.
