Shravana Masa 2011 – Telugu Sravana Masam in Andhra Pradesh

Shravana Masam is the fifth month in a traditional Hindu Telugu calendar followed in Andhra Pradesh. Telugu Sravana Masam 2011 is from July 31 to August 29. Some of the auspicious days in the month include Mangala Gauri Vratam, Naga Panchami, Varalakshmi Puja, Rig and Yajur Vedi Upkarma and Sri Krishna Jayanti.

Telugu Shravana Masa Shukla Paksha and Krishna Paksha

Shravana Masa Telugu calendar 2011 Shukla Paksha (Waxing phase of moon) is from July 31, 2011 to August 13, 2011.
Telugu Shravana Masam 2011 Krishna Paksha (Waning phase of moon) is from August 14 to August 29, 2011.

Ekadasi Fasting Dates in Shravana Masam are:

Putrada Ekadasi – August 9
Aja Ekadasi – August 25

Purnima in Telugu Shravana Masam

Shravana Purnima or Full moon day is on August 13, 2011. The Purnima begins at 10:44 PM on August 12 and ends at evening 10:55 PM on August 13. Raksha Bandhan and Yajur Vedi Upakarma are on August 13
Amavasi in Telugu Shravana Masam.

Shravana Amavasya or No moon day is on August 29. The Amavasi begins at 10:31 AM on August 28 and ends at 08:48 AM on August 29.
