Another important Mantra that Shukracharya gave to the world is called CHINTAMANI Hanuman Mantra.
Chintamani means - ridding of worries. It is also good for times when you are depressed. Let us chant this Mantra. Chant along.
"VANDE VAANARA NAARASIMHA KHAGARAT
KRODHASHVA VAKTRANCHITAM
NAANA LANKARANAM TRIPANCHA NAYANAM
DEDIPYA MAANAM RUCHAA
HASTAABJAI RASI KHETA PUSTHAKA
SUDHA KUMBHAAM KUSHAADREEN HALAM
KHATANGVAM PHANI BHURUHOW CHA DADHATAM
SARVAARI GARVAAPAHAM "
Never pray that your enemy should vanish. Pray that the thoughts about that person whom you consider as enemy should vanish in you. That should be the prayer.
When you don't feel him as your enemy, 90% of the problem is solved.
This site is an extraordinary effort and labor of love, deserving the highest gratitude. In that spirit, I hope the following words will not be misunderstood or misinterpreted in any negative manner. My only goal is to help this wonderful site explore its full potential.
ReplyDeleteI am especially grateful for the beautiful and important sentiment of not using any mantras for himsA karma, i.e injuring anyone. Rather, as the site leader cautions, mantra should be used to destroy anger, hatred and delusion within oneself.
As Lord Buddha urged us to consider, "How many enemies can you destroy? Rather, can you destroy the very concept of enmity?" He went on to emphasize, "The root of all suffering, whether personal or universal, is the self-cherishing attitude." Some things to think about!!
However, a couple of important points: when mantra is being used to achieve some material/worldly purpose, it is very significant that all parts of the mantra be completely GRAMMATICALLY and SYNTACTICALLY CORRECT, including spelling, transliteration, editing, proofreading etc. This is the responsibility of whoever has given out the mantra, and is teaching the public how to use it.
A chhinna mantra has unpleasant effects, and this can easily be demonstrated. Many of the KAMYA mantras here are rife with errors in many respects, and so is the mantra above. Strict and critical editing is necessary. A single transliteration system is also mandatory, using just one accepted convention throughout the site,e.g. ITRANS or Harvard-Kyoto, and not any personal system.
I pray that this site will grow from strength to strength and continue to shower blessings and strength to millions all over the world. Om Namo Narayanaya.
